BlogoZoid Briefing August 31, 2011

Written by PolitiZoid

Hey all you 'Zoids out there.  We know, we know.  You have not had your Daily Briefing and must be going into withdrawl.  Well, we're back, though probably now  just a few times a week.

The Nation's "First Uncle"

The President's uncle, Omar Obama, was arrested for drunk driving in Massachusetts.  That was kind of inconvenient for him, since he's also an illegal alien.

Now, what is convenient for Uncle Omar is that the White House said earlier this month that they will be ignoring Congressionally mandated deportations and review them individually.  It was noted that Uncle Omar said his first phone call was going to be to the Nephew-in-Chief.   We can't decide which of all this is the worst part:  driving drunk, the Executive Branch not doing the executing of the law it's sworn to do, favoritism among political connections, or our deciding that illegal aliens are not doing anything illegal.

Why's It Always The Chinese?

It's been discovered that the poop (sorry to use the technical term) of pandas could be the important ingredient to creating bio fuels.  Those Chinese are lucky that they have the pandas.  Smart investors will start breeding now.  The person developing this says, “It’s probably the most pleasant fecal material to actually work with."  We aren't sure how she knows that.

Hypocrisy Is Almost Funny Among The Rich

Warren Buffett, the billionaire who agrees with the President that we could all pay more taxes, is in an embarrassing situation, poor guy.  Our friends at NewsBusters find that his company already owes about $1 billion in unpaid taxes.  Maybe the IRS should also take a look at Matt Damon, who also says we all could pay more taxes.  Who knows how much he might owe?  Also, as a personal note to all millionaire Hollywood celebrities in favor of paying more taxes:  Go to IRS.gov and make a donation today.  You don't even need to ask!

Another Healthcare Ruling

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today that the healthcare mandate is unconstitutional. The majority found it to be a “wholly novel and potentially unbounded assertion of congressional authority.” How could this be? Nancy Pelosi told us it was perfectly legal.

Self-Esteem Issues

U.S. consumer confidence in August dropped to the lowest level since 1980. Come on people, all these negative thoughts aren’t helping the economy.

Stiff Headwinds

Message from the President: This economy would have been roaring by now if it weren’t for natural disasters, earthquakes in Japan, unrest in the Middle East, financial turmoil in Europe, and of course George W. Bush. Those darn unforeseeables really drove us into a ditch, and now they want the keys back!

Human Life Found in Corporations!

Mitt Romney raised the ire of liberal groups yesterday when he made the shocking claim that “corporations are people.” Everyone knows they’re run by evil robots. Romney’s point was that corporations are made up of people and that increasing taxes on corporations impacts people.

Big Money

Who are the top 10 political donors of all time? Hint: None of them of are Republican.
